Membership surveys

All membership organisations and professional bodies need to understand their members' expectations and their perceptions of the services provided. They may carry out annual salary surveys. They may also commission market research to support membership drives or to increase merchandise sales.

This is a new area of business for Silver Surveys, but the team combines professional survey expertise with extensive knowledge of professional and other membership organisations, including constraints, opportunities, governance and ways of working, and recent successful initiatives.

Our team leader, for instance, has run membership surveys for major institutions and has himself been an active member of several more (including as a co-opted Council Member in one of the 'big four').  We have also worked with local chambers of commerce and business/community and regeneration partnerships of different types. We are therefore well positioned to offer not just an efficient and cost-effective survey but also insightful and useful analysis.

External perceptions

To increase influence and membership the organisation also has to understand how others see it.  Our team can draw on Silver Survey's expertise and resources across the full range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, but we specialise in in this context in evaluative analysis informed by interviews with key internal and external stakeholders.
